Royal Boch is a pottery located in La Louvière in Belgium. Founded in 1841, it markets its production under the name Keramis. The factory was founded in 1841 by Eugène and Victor Boch, descendants of a family of potters since the 18th century in Audun-le-Tiche (and later in Septfontaines and Mettlach).
Charles Catteau was hired at the end of 1906 as a draftsman (creation and painting of decorations) and quickly became responsible for the decoration department, which he later named Atelier de Fantaisie in 1920. He also became a holder of the decorative painting course at the industrial school of The louvière. He will remain at Boch Frères until November 8, 1954. We owe him a large production of Art Deco products.
