"Empire Mahogany Work Table"
"Mahogany Empire Worker Early 19th Century" Work table, or work table, in mahogany and flamed Cuban mahogany veneer, resting on four columns with bronze rings, joined by an x-shaped spacer. The belt opens with a drawer revealing a writing desk on slides resting on its secret compartment, with its inkwell and talcum powder. The top reveals the book racks as well as a bronze candlestick and a pincushion on reclosable shelves. It has its original locks. Empire period
