"Vase With Cranes, Japan, Kutani / Yokohama, Meiji Era (1868-1912)"
Vase of an unusual green color with a couple of Japanese cranes (Tsuru) which are a symbol of longevity (according to legend, they live 1000 years), but also of wisdom, fidelity, knowledge and experience that they bring from their distant travels. They also symbolize marital love and fidelity, as the species is monogamous and unites for life (the crane symbols often adorn Japanese weddings). The vase is also decorated with various flowers and bamboo.

Very good state of preservation, slight paint rubbing.
