Puiforcat: Antique French Louis XVI Style Sterling Silver & Vermeil Ice Cream Set Pompadour Pattern

Sublime Antique Solid Silver and Vermeil Ice Cream Set by PUIFORCAT, in the reknowned Louis XVI style pattern "POMPADOUR". The service is comprised of 12 individual Ice Cream spoons and a large Server, with handles with shell, leafy branches and ribbon bows "à la Marie Antoinette" decor. Spoons wells and server blade are in Vermeil (gold on silver) with the same decor finely engraved to echo the decor of the handles. This complete 13-piece service is presented in its beautiful original box, its fitted interior lined with deep red velvet and silk, and the name of the retailer, Maison E. Keltz, stamped in gold.
Each piece is punched with the French Minerve 1st standard silver hallmark (.950), and maker's mark for famed 19th century Parisian Master Goldsmith Emile PUIFORCAT (mark with the initials "EP" and a penknife) active in 1857. This sublime PUIFORCAT Ice Cream Service in the prestigious POMPADOUR pattern is in excellent condition, revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, with only micro-scratches from use to note.
