Sublime and Rare Antique French Renaissance style Sterling Silver Tea or Coffee Service. This 3-piece set consists of a pot with a filter on the internal part of the spout which allows it to be used as either a Coffee Pot or Teapot, covered Sugar Bowl, and a Creamer. The lower parts of the bodies are decorated with an applied border of Fer de Lance motifs at the base, and necks feature an applied border simulating cut leather. Sugar bowl handles have trefoil motif mounts, and the trefoil motif is repeated in the decorative applied monograms. Interiors of both sugar bowl and creamer have a well preserved Vermeil (18 carat gold on silver). Each piece is punched with the French Minerve 1st Standard hallmark (.950) and mark of Master Goldsmith Armand-Edouard CARDEILHAC active in 1851, with the signature CARDEILHAC Paris. Thie magnificent Renaissance style tea or coffee set has been revised and cleaned by our Parisian silversmith and is in very good condition with just fine scratches from use to note.
