Superb quality of bronze, carving and gilding.
Maison Denière, created in 1804 by Jean-François Denière (1774–1866), then taken over in 1844 by his son, Guillaume Denière (1815 – 1903), specializes in furniture bronzes, such as candelabras, lights, torches , clocks and centerpieces. Building on its success, Maison Denière also partners with talented contemporary artists to publish their works. Bronzier of the reigning houses, Denière supplied the bronzes for Charles X's Coronation Coach, made several deliveries for the Crown furniture under the July Monarchy, and many bronze furnishings for the Tuileries under the Second Empire. Dedicated to the Universal Exhibition of 1855 with a medal of honor, it is still rewarded at the Universal Exhibition of 1862. Its contributions to the Universal Exhibitions were always expected and noticed as much as those of the Maison Barbedienne.
