"Watercolor Drawing: Old Saint Etienne De Caen"
Very fine watercolor drawing representing the church of Old Saint Etienne in Caen. This unusual view represents the apse and the lantern tower of the church and in the extension of the rue Arcisse de Caumont (formerly rue du college du Mont) you can discover the bell tower of the church of Saint Sauveur. On the left the remaining wall of the fortifications and on the right the beginning of the college of Mont. This romantic view of mind leaves some architectural liberties including for example the nave which is not represented. Norman School circa 1830. Golden style frame: 24 cm x 19 cm.
