Lot comprising 4 mother-of-pearl shells from Tahiti PINCTADA MARGARITIFERA, engraved with hut and palm tree decoration in a stylized geographical map, for two of them. Beautiful object of folk art from the 1950s. Two shells reveal the white mother-of-pearl on the inside and iridescent pink and green tones on the outside. The third smallest is not engraved, but the colors are very close to the first two. The fourth, whose exterior has not been worked, retains the rough contact of the shell. Dimensions: 14.5 X 13.5 cms - 14 X 12 cms - 11 X 9.5 cms - 11.5 X 10 cms Lot of 6 CYPRAEA TIGRIS commonly called Tigray Porcelain. Origin Tahiti - Lives in tropical sea water. White and beige single-colored mollusk, covered with brown to black spots. Each shell is unique. Dimensions: 8 X 5 cms - 7 X 5 cms - 5.5 X 3.5 cms and 5 x 3 cms for the three smallest.
