"19th Century Trumeau"
Trumeau from the late 18th or early 19th century. In a rural landscape, 2 young women and a young man are seated; standing in front of them, a Pierrot, guitar on the shoulder, in the style of Watteau. The 2 young girls in court dress, wear hats with large feathers, much appreciated by Marie-Antoinette... One of the young girls holds out a small mirror to Pierrot. The overmantel glass has identifiable spots on the mercury mirrors (manufactured until 1835). The canvas was mounted and restored in the early 1970s and is therefore in very good condition. On the other hand, the frame needs to be restored because it has some accidents.
