"Louis XVI Cylinder Desk"
Cylindre desk from the Louis XVI period, in mahogany and mahogany veneer on an oak frame. It opens with three stepped drawers and a cylinder revealing compartments and three small drawers. A sliding leather-wrapped tray provides writing support. It has two side zippers and four front drawers. It rests on four fluted bobbin feet adorned with rings and finished with gilt bronze clogs. The locks have their original keys. Veined white marble top surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. Good general condition for this desk from the end of the 18th century.
