"Important Sideboard In Blond Walnut, Louis Philippe Period - Mid-19th Century"
Important sideboard in solid blond walnut, from the Louis Philippe period, dating from the mid-19th century. The top has two well-joined panels and a pegged mitred frame, on its three visible edges, with a double molding perimeter. It opens in belt by three drawers assembled in dovetails. The one in the center is equipped with an original and functional key lock, those on the left and right with brass pull buttons. The lower part has four doors, one of which is double in the center. Each of them is darkened with a recessed burl walnut panel with a miter-cut molded frame. The interior offers three shelves placed on cleats, one of which is identical at each end and a larger central one. The lower part of the facade is underlined by an element forming a grooved plinth. The set rests on four cubic feet with strong moldings at the front and three straight feet at the back. This large row will seduce for its storage capacity, its warm color and its quality of manufacture. ******** Period: Mid 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
