Rare rectangular tray with rounded corners fitted with solid rosewood grips from the famous Maison Christofle. Designer Luc Lanel (1893-1966). Very elegant and unusual with its mix of materials typical of the Art Deco era, its rosewood grips each adorned with two large silver metal pellets. Hallmark says "à la balance" + Christofle in full and hallmark of the chess rider surrounded by the initials 0C. Dimensions: Length with the handles: 54.3 cm (41.5 cm without counting the handles) Width: 33.2 cm Good condition, scratches from use on the top and rubbing from use on the back.
