"Important Cloisonné Ceramic Vases, Hispano-moorish - Late Nineteenth"
Important Hispano-Moorish cloisonné vases, in ceramic and enamels, with superimposed double bellies. One is globular in shape, the other ovoid with irregular cutouts reminiscent of an animal's jaw. This pair is decorated with arabesques formed in particular by fanciful motifs, and provided with high openwork handles in the spirit of a ladder. The interior of these vases is contrasted by a pretty celestial blue. These elements rest on a ring-shaped pedestal. These cloisonné vases, in earthenware and enamels, will appeal in particular for their originality, their size and the contrast of their decorations. ******** Period: Late 19th century Excellent condition.
