Roman Louis XV console in gilded wood with shaped top.

The carving is a triumph of foliaceous husks, flowers and leaves while a beautiful foliaceous shell acts as a connecting "key" on the forehead.

A larger shell alternating with racemes embellishes the band under the top.

The feet are skilfully carved and end with an everted curl.

Condition: In good condition.

Provenance: Rome 18th century.
