The Bauhaus movement was born following the Great War in 1919 and brings together multiple disciplines including architecture, design and art as a whole. It was Walter Gropius who founded the movement and defined its principles. This desk is made up of a magnificent chromed tubular metal base, typically Bauhaus, a hanging box with 3 drawers and a superb beech top. Indeed the tray reveals a charming veining. It is also particularly deep offering a nice workspace. The desk is in very good condition, it has been restored.
