"The Horses Of Happiness, Carved Panel China Early Twentieth"
Large lacquered frame with a scene entirely carved and openwork and lacquered in grey representing the horses of happiness, according to an old Chinese legend. It is in the Chinese tradition a lucky charm for the house that welcomes it. this extremely decorative frame was made in China at the beginning of the 20th century. Good general condition, except that with time the wood by drying knows some withdrawals in the pattern.
