"Small Indochinese Bench In Rosewood - Late Nineteenth"
Rosewood bench covered with numerous plant and stylized motifs inlaid with mother-of-pearl. The base consists of four re-entrant square section feet. Their facades are connected by two crosspieces spaced with flower sculptures. The armrests are spindle-barred. The backrest is distinguished by three plant scenes and two also barred parts surrounded by light wood recessed surrounds. The top comprises two spaced wooden elements held together by openwork carvings of chimeras, flowers and leaves. The seat has a panel in a mitred frame. This bench, which has benefited from a great work of cabinetmaking, will easily find its place in a chic and charming interior. ******** Period: Late 19th century Excellent condition.
