Collaboration of Luc Lanel for the goldsmith's house. 25cm in height. In good condition, to report some dents. Luc Lanel (1893-1965) occupies a unique place in the decorative arts of the first half of the 20th century. A talented advertising designer, he joined Christofle in 1920 as head of electroplating, where he launched a line of brassware. His first pieces, original and inexpensive works presented at the International Exhibition of 1925, will contribute to the reputation of the house. Appointed artistic director, Luc Lanel created for more than a quarter of a century, from 1920 to 1946, alongside the usual goldsmithery that equips the palaces and liners of the Transatlantic, ceremonial as well as liturgical pieces. he works with his wife Marjolaine, ceramics which have a certain success, vases, cups and lamps often signed "La Marjolaine". When Luc Lanel left Christofle in 1946, a common ceramist career began with very 40 pieces of spirit.
