Bright post-impressionist representation of the old basin in Honfleur by Joseph Chauleur.
Pupil of Pharaon de Winter, professor at the School of Fine Arts in Lille, in 1928 he obtained an honorable mention at the Salon of French Artists of which he was a member. He received the silver medal in 1934 and the Prize of the Society of French Landscapers in 1939. On January 30, 1902 he married the painter Jeanne Alice known as Jane Chauleur-Ozeel. They will paint and exhibit together.
