"Important Ethiopian Coptic Processional Cross"
Large and important Aksum cross in silver-plated metal, with large geometric arms, decorated with traditional cane patterns. It is entirely chiselled and openworked by hand, using a traditional lost wax procedure. It rests on an openwork metal cone with triangular motifs, in which a handle was fixed, and worn by Orthodox priests during liturgical ceremonies.
