Very beautiful painting of a fairly large format (1.17m x82 cm) representing Lake Bourget with its vegetation and its boats. Magnificent oil, superbly brushed by the painter who remains to be defined. Remarkable pictorial technique, very beautiful light rendered by the painter on this large frameless canvas. Very beautiful perspective which reflects the immensity of this post-glacial lake in the Jura massif, formed at the end of the last Wurn glaciation around 19,000 years ago, by the retreat of the quaternary alpine glacier. 44.5 km2 in area, 18 km long, 3.5 km wide, depth 85 m. Altitude of 232m. So much for the details of this lake that this painter wanted in this painting to make as large as possible! Very nice painting! Do not miss !
