"Superb Vase In Silver Cloisonne Enamels Signed Japan Meiji Period (1868-1912)"
Lovely soliflore vase in cloisonné enamels on copper decorated with cherry blossom. At its foot stand irises and other multicolored flowers on a stem. An elongated square section shape with very elegant rounded corners. Its fully partitioned decor with silver threads on the mirror-polished background. The vase belongs to the category of unusual pieces due to its fine workmanship and the brick color of its background - and not navy blue or black as usual. Signature of the manufacturing workshop stamped under the base (see photo). Japan Meiji period, second half of the 19th century. Dimensions: Height: 15.5 cm Very good condition.
