Superb ancient battle scene attributed to the very famous neoclassical history painter Pierre Narcisse GUERIN (1774-1833), done in pen, gray ink and gray wash presented in tondo and wonderfully framed in a beautiful old frame of era with heart stripes and golden pearls. Great finesse of execution in the representation of these soldiers. Very beautiful perspective magnified by a darker passe-partout which highlights it. Frame dimensions: 30 x 30 cm.
