This ceremonial walnut chair is distinguished by the quality of its carvings and its proportions. The feet are decorated on the front with a garland of foliage and two acanthus leaves at the top. The backrest consists of two openwork crosspieces, the upper represents a sheaf of scrolls of foliage, the other two confronting chimeras. The front legs are connected by a crosspiece repeating the sheaf composition. The crosspiece below the seat adopts a sinuous cut in the same spirit. The seat is in one piece, it is molded on three sides in beak de corbin.
