"Pair Of Porcelain And Bronze Lamps, Napoleon III - Mid-19th Century"
Pair of cracked porcelain lamps dating from the middle of the 19th century. The double-bulb bellies are decorated with relief decorations of flowers and leaves in enamel, on a celestial blue background, underlined by fanciful black and gold motifs. The flared necks are topped with large collars, in bronze, decorated with winding acanthus leaves and foliage. These luminaires rest on tripod bases, with grooves, worked with small buds and plant elements. The globes, in opaque glass, are set with a brass border at the top and bottom. The delicate colors and fine ornamentation of these lamps will easily fit into a traditional or contemporary home. ******** Period: Mid-nineteenth Excellent condition.
