Earthenware sculpture made at the end of the 19th century in the Sèvres factory, after the work of the French painter François Boucher (1703-1770). He is known to have been the first painter of King Louis XV. “Couple de Gallants” is a work, taken from the pastorals of Boucher, featuring a man and a woman during a romantic rendezvous. The young girl, seated on a rock, holds in her arms doves that her suitor brings her. The terrace, oval, is decorated with foliage, scrolls, a shell and a garland of roses.
