Biography:
André SEVRUGUIN is an artist born in Iran in 1894 and died in 1996.
He is the son of the famous photographer Antoine Sevruguin.
Trained in Paris, he notably made a name for himself by offering 416 illustrations of the text of the Shâh Nâmeh, as well as other Persian poetic works. His work, as well as that of his father, was the subject of an exhibition entitled “Sevrugian. Images of the Orient. Photography and Painting 1880-1980” at the Weltkulturen Museum in Frankfurt.
