Large Maravijaya Buddha, Kingdom of the Shan States, 19th century. the Awakened is represented in vajrasana on his double lotiform base, hands in bhumisparsha mudra. Carved wood, black lacquer and gilding. Very good state of conservation. Provenance: Estate of collector and art dealer Claude de Marteau. Sold with certificate of authenticity.
