"Rare Pair Of Property Showcases In Mahogany, Napoleon III Style - 2nd Part Of The Nineteenth"
This furniture in solid mahogany and veneer, made in Paris, opens on the front with a turbulent and molded door in the upper dark part of a window. This door is equipped with an original working brass lock with two combs with thread and key entry. Open, it gives access to five adjustable mahogany shelves, placed on racks and cleats, with molded edges in the groove at the edges. The framed back of this piece of furniture is mahogany. The rounded grooved uprights have three half-round moldings. The sides, also glazed, have a projecting wooden bottom. This set rests on a base also projecting, molded in gradient, with recessed plinth matching the shape of the body. This property furniture is topped with a "policeman's hat" style capital with protruding molding decorated with eyes, scrolls and acanthus leaves. A rare model individually and even more so in pairs, these showcases will appeal in particular by their character, their size and their quality workmanship. ******** Period: 2nd part of the 19th century Excellent condition after revision and patina in the workshop.
