"Rare Pair Of Support Furniture, Napoleon III Style - 2nd Part Nineteenth"
Pair of mahogany cabinets of identical Parisian manufacture and richly carved. Each of these pieces of furniture has a drawer in the belt, fitted with an original and functional lock, with key and brass mesh entry. The interiors and drawer bottoms are in light oak. Below, a framed door, with interior moldings, scrollwork and carved designs, is also fitted with an original working lock. This door gives access to an adjustable shelf on racks with mahogany grooved edge. The pilasters, fluted at the bottom, are embellished with compositions of fruit clusters. The corners of these support units are rounded with raised panels and mouldings. The sides have the same composition of panels and trim with moldings. The tops of these properties, with projections and bec-de-corbin around their edges, match the position of the facade elements and the sides. This pair of sideboards will appeal for its dimensional character and quality essence. ******** Period: 2nd part of the 19th century Excellent condition after revision and patina in the workshop.
