Very large vase in the Etruscan style, probably a souvenir from the grand tour.This large plaster vase is inspired by the vases of antiquity:
the handles are in the Etruscan style, the belly is covered with a frieze in high relief inspired by scenes in the manner of antiquity: scene of bacchanals etc...reminiscent of ancient cameos in high relief.
it rests on a large pedestal with gadroons and plant motifs, itself resting on a square base.
it is painted in imitation of porphyry with great skill.
very good general condition.
probably an Italian vase from the Napoleon III period, a souvenir of the grand tour.

54 cm high and 30 cm at the widest.
