These rugs are knotted in strong, thick, shiny yarn, often dyed with natural dyes and spun by hand.
This yarn gives a resistant surface and a beautiful color palette.
They have in common that they are now woven with cotton warp threads and a weft thread between each row of knots.
The patterns are often geometric, but there are also very elaborate floral patterns.
