Large pastel representing a mountain landscape located in the Alps. In the background, the snowy peaks, the ruins of a fortress. A path with a traveler leads to a figure-bustling hamlet with wooden chalets. A village in the mist can be seen in the valley. The whole of this pastel is very realistic, the details are of great finesse. The many colors used are perfectly chosen. Signed in the decor Jeanne Petitjean and dated 1855.
