"Julien Léopold Boilly (1796-1874) - Original Drawing"
Original drawing in watercolor, pen and ink, pencil by Julien Léopold BOILLY (1796-1874) Julien Léopold Boilly, or Jules Boilly, born in Paris on August 30, 1796 and died in the same city on June 14, 1874, is a painter and French lithographer. Son and pupil of Louis Léopold Boilly. He lithographed, around 1825, almost all the members of the Institute. We also owe him a series of portraits of female authors, which print dealers irreverently called “the blue stockings suite”, as well as a series of reproductions of drawings by Pierre-Paul Prud'hon. *** Dimensions 20 x 25 cm Signed lower right Good condition – See photo
