"Large Pair Of Winged Angels In Adoration, Eighteenth Century"
Important pair of cedar wood winged angels. Kneeling on a cloud, arms crossed for one and hands clasped in prayer for the second seraphim. The spread and removable wings with finely carved feathers in front and back are of a rare scale. The tender faces with long hair look down and watch over human creation. The couple presents certain differences, in particular the posture of the legs as well as the sculptures of the draperies. Period second half of the 18th century.
