19th Century Neo-gothic Bishop's Chair.
This Neo-Gothic oak bishop's chair has a backrest made up of six large quatrefoils in two slatted panels whose angles are decorated with daisies, surmounted by a pediment representing the bishop's miter framed by two small trilobes . The whole is surrounded by a frieze of pearls. The top of the rear legs end in rounded pinnacles surmounted by a pearl. The front legs are tapered and ringed with a sculpted bulge of flowers.
