"Felix Auguste Clément: Portrait Of Mr De Chambrefort"
In the 1880s, the publication of the illustrated catalog of the SAF required artists to send a drawing of the painting they wanted to exhibit, so that an engraver could transfer this drawing to the catalog. The drawing presented is autograph executed by the painter from his painting. FAClément, born in Donzère in 1826, died in Algiers in 1888, pupil of Bonnefond in Lyon from 1843 to 1848 then in Paris: pupil of Picot and Drolling, made his debut at the Salon of 1853, first prize in Rome in 1856, stayed in Egypt where he decorates the palaces of Cairo.
