"Antique Oak Dining Table From A Castle In Southern Charente"
this 241 cm long dining table was recently found in a chateau in the Charente region. a top thickness of 5 cm It is not uncommon for wood of this age (over 150 years) and of this length to have undulations and curves; we think this gives this table an extra character. X-shaped legs, with a 2 ½" thick stretcher that passes through mortises in the center of each leg. Both ends of the stretcher are attached using large contoured pegs that slide on the outside of the firm. The table has a fantastic rich brown patina with some knots and chocolate colored grains. This table is truly stunning and will be the focal point of any dining room.
