Provenance: Bologna, Centro D’arte Il Nettuno
He completed his studies in Rome, first at the Institute of Fine Arts and then at the Academy. During the First World War, he took part in the fighting, bringing back some notebooks of drawings that testify to his keen powers of observation.
For economic reasons he was forced to work for a large real estate company, but devoted all his free time to painting, preferring landscapes, aspects of popular life and interiors.
He took part in the Mostra Nazionale degli Amatori e Cultori d'Arte, in an exhibition at the Circolo di Arte e Lettere (1934) and in all the Quadriennali d'Arte in Rome from 1935 to 1955.
Personal exhibitions include one at Galleria La Barcaccia in Rome in 1954 and at Galleria Russo, also in Rome, in 1958. After this exhibition, although suffering from a retinal disease, he continued to paint for the rest of his life.
