The Annunciation Oil On Wood, 18th Century

Very pretty scene of the Annunciation treated in "grisaille" oil on wooden panel from the 18th century. The angel Gabriel on the left, his right arm raised and his left hand holding a fleur-de-lis, Mary on the right is seated three-quarters turned towards the archangel, above three protective angels in the clouds. Two other women in the background accompany the Virgin. The panel is cut in the shape of a hanger at the top. Some wear to the paint mainly on the edges and insect holes that have now disappeared; I also point out a small crack in the top left corner which does not affect the solidity of the whole. I present this painting in the state of find that I consider in good condition given its age. The grisaille painting technique is quite rare, especially in religious subjects. Note: the very intimate atmosphere of the stage. Delivery: €15 for metropolitan France.
