Beautiful scene representing a group of villagers busying themselves at the edge of a river. to the top a village in the shade of the trees. Very nice atmosphere. it is the work of Guilherme d'olivera Marques, painter and sculptor born in Brazil in 1887 and died in Léopoldville in the Belgian Congo in 1960. Portuguese. He is considered one of the fathers of African painting. painting on a 46 cm x 36 cm plywood panel. In a lovely modern light oak frame, 61cm x 52cm. The ensemble is in perfect condition. Really very friendly.
