Rare letter of marriage authorization in a church of Marseilles (BM Deacius?), by the bishop of Marseilles Jean-Baptiste de Belloy*, for the marriage of Jean Cauvin and Thérèse Cattier (?), dated 1769, piece printed with handwritten notes in ink, from the 18th century. This letter is in its juice, framed later. A note: some tears on the paper, stains and old folds, look at the photos. * Jean Baptiste de Belloy (or JB de Belloi), born in Morangles in the diocese of Beauvais on October 28, 1709 and died in Paris on June 10, 1808, was bishop of Marseilles after Belsunce in 1756, archbishop of Paris in 1801 and cardinal. Of a moderate spirit, he was one of the bishops who facilitated the conclusion of the Concordat.
