"Prestigious Champagne Bucket Offered, Moët, Château De Saran, 1990 Goldsmith Asprey"
Large champagne bucket from Maison Moët et Chandon, a model in shape of Top Hat (an elegant 8 reflections, as we used to say) silvered brass with two patinas, matte and shiny, signed by the London goldsmith Asprey, New Bond Street. Crowned Moët et Chandon brand is superbly engraved on border of internal cushion. A dispatch is also engraved in cursive letters. A gift or thanks offered by Château de Saran, headquarters of the Champagne house to its distinguished guests or a chosen staff: here Mr. Gilbert Lorrain, circa 1990.
Rare object, I did not find it in documentation.
Condition of discovery, bucket is thick, without bumps.
Superb silvering, with few scratches, except inside bottom, which shows signs of use.
