Mary Magdalene in ecstasy, 17th century oil on canvas by an Italian master in the spirit of Guido Reni. The Saint is represented in an almost profane manner, in an elegant attitude, richly dressed and without a halo. The sacred character of this very expressive figure resides solely in the gaze turned towards the heavens. Work of very fine craftsmanship, presented in a Regency style gilt frame. The state of conservation is very satisfactory, with only a few small old restorations and a relining to report. Total dimensions: 96 X 81 cm, 74.5 X 61 for the canvas alone.
