"Pair Of Louis XVI / Marie Antoinette Medallions"
Pair of imposing copper medallions forming a pendant with the effigy of Louis XVI and Married Antoinette, king and queen of France. Round medallions representing the busts of the king and the queen surrounded by a decoration composed of 4 fleur-de-lys alternated with 4 mascarons surrounded by acanthus branches. These decorative elements to hang on the wall bear the date of 1783, corresponding to the year of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles formalizing the birth of the United States of America. Each medallion bears the initials ER of the artist.
