bronze subject representing "the Bacchante with a small faun" model by Jean-Joseph FOUCOU presented at the 1777 salon, the original of which is kept at the Cognacq-Jay museum (inventory J219). Bronze with medal patina tending to copper presented on a marble base. Period late nineteenth early twentieth, the thickness of the bronze quite thin.In good house condition, some patina wear, slight dent in the left arm of the Bacchante, traces of assembly.
