The illustration is made on an extremely thin paper, which explains certain undulations of the work. This one is in very good condition, recently re-framed keeping the original canopy. Victor Huen is a painter, lithographer and illustrator born in Colmar in 1874 and died in 1939. He specializes in military painting and uniform illustrations. He also worked in collaboration with the illustrator Hansi, for books intended for young people.
