Superb 19th century French animal sculpture of a roaring lion standing on a finely modeled rock outcrop with a dark green patina signed E. Delabrierre. This model was exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1866. Paul Édouard Delabrierre exhibited at the Paris Salon between 1842 and 1882 height 24.5 cm base length 22 cm by 9 cm.
