This pair of 17th century chairs with spindles and arcades come from a religious institution, as evidenced by the presence of a starry cross and a monogram. They have an openwork back consisting of a high crosspiece cut into two arcatures separated by two spindles. The feet and the crosspiece are rounded on the outside corners. The seat is in wood. The crosspiece connecting the front legs is a strip cut in interlacing. One of the two has had her toes redone.
