Albert Guillaume (1873-1942) is one of the most renowned cartoonists of the Belle Epoque.
Influenced by Jules Chéret, Albert Guillaume is famous for his satirical drawings where he paints with humour the portrait of good Parisian society, as well as the army.
Many of his illustrations are published in albums, and in famous Parisian humorous magazines (Le Rire, Le Frou-frou, L'Assiette au Beurre, Le Figaro illustré...).
Albert Guillaume’s drawings can be found on three series of 12 plates in Sarreguemines.
In lentil form, these plates: "My regiment", "My 28 days", Madame is served", are among the most sought after in the very rich Sarregueminoise earthenware production.
